The Dark Goddess
/Mother Earth has eruptions. Tsunamis, volcanoes, earthquakes… She is in movement and progress. She has natural eruptions.
She also has anger outbursts. From climate change, suffocating from waste and other harm that humans do to her.
Women are replicas of Mother Earth.
We have darkness and lightness. We are in constant movement. We change and we have eruptions.
We also have anger outbursts, both from how our Great Mother is being treated since it’s in our DNA, core and blood. But also from how we as women (and mothers) are being treated, and have been for centuries. The suppression is suffocating.
Does that mean it’s OK to
yell
throw plates
turn into the grinch
roar
cast angry spells and
call people bad names ?
Well, yes. And NO.
In your own room, where you hold space and you meet yourself- go ahead and bring out your darkest self! However that needs to come out, without hurting anyone (including yourself and the earth).
I’m also pro showing the anger, roar and dark sides to others. To the patriarchy, to our men and to our children. Why? We need to bring back the OK-ness in the dark side, in being two-sided, in being cyclic, in being both and more. Bring back all sides of the feminine. And thereby find our way back to Love and Respect for our Mother Earth and all women. This is easier said than done though. And the Dark Goddess Mastery starts within. From our own practice.
Children and men too need to learn that they have a dark side and how to handle it. We can show them how to handle our darkness when we dare to meet with ourselves, meet with our dark goddess. When we learn how to handle it.
When we learn how to handle
fear
anger
tiredness
letting go
emotional stress
and really, just being cyclical, living with the energies from the earth, the moon and all the elements.
How can we bring balance?
By accepting the dark and low sides too. By allowing them, feeling them, meeting them. Meeting everything.
And then let it go.
Let the menstrual blood flow.
Cleaning my body, cleaning my mind, washing out my stored and built up emotions.
Face your Dark Goddess, your New Moon phase and Earth Goddess archetype. Meet with her, to learn how to let go. Learn how to accept all sides of you and to release.
Study yourself to learn how to see in the dark. (Secret: that’s where we get powerful).
My path is that of the Shaman. Through shamanic healing practices for women, I get to know my Dark Goddess. That’s my way, what’s yours?
In Love,
Magic Magie
ps. Honoring our own inner moon cycle is an important step towards embodying the dark goddess and living in balance. The Earth Goddess & New Moon workshop supports your own cycle, invoking and connecting with the dark goddess powers and archetype within. Click here to learn more.
